The film “I Was Not Invited” is a documentation of the musical revue of collected music from ‘The French Mistake’ and ‘Pedicula’ as well as songs by Franz Schubert and Kate Bush. Performed by Roman Ole, Roman Lemberg, Shin Joo and Leila Hekmat and filmed at Ballhaus Chausseestraße in Berlin. Within 47 minutes, it captures the entire musical performance in a single take, while revealing intimate moments from the final rehearsals. Shot from an immersive POV perspective, it invites you on a colorful, heartwarming, and unique journey through Leila Hekmat’s microcosm of costumes, music, and revelations.
